Grades 1-3
Beacons 39, Sails 6
The Beacons got off to a fast start with a pair of touchdown passes from Ben Fazekas to Dominic Regal and Peyton Wilson. Declan Bright blitzed the quarterback to record a safety before the half. Declan added a touchdown pass of his own in the second half. The Sails scored on a Chistopher Henderson scramble to defeat the Beacon’s blitz attempt.
Lighthouses 40, Anchors 6
The Lighthouses scored early with a Bryce Gillispie to Kacen Koran connection on the touchdown and 2-point conversion. Kacen intercepted an Anchor’s pass for a score later in the contest. Isaac Gray scored on a conversion reception and on a pass of his own to Landon Carroll. The Anchors got on the board with a Katharina Niehaus touchdown pass to Carter Matsko in the second half.
Grades 4-6
Admirals 41, Mariners 25
The Mariners got off to a quick start with 19 first-half points. Nick Mechenbier recorded three interceptions for touchdowns. Nick added a 2-point conversion pass to Vinny Phelps. However, the Admirals did not give up. After regrouping, they stormed back from a double-digit deficit in the second half. Several Zackary Haynes touchdown passes to Diego Damboleena led the comeback after halftime. Zackary also connected with Ben Allen and Cole Clair to add on two more scores. The Mariners scored as time expired with a Nick Mechenbier to Nathan Jarvis touchdown.
Navigators 48, Captains 8
This game was much closer than the scoreboard indicated. Three clutch interceptions for touchdowns by the Navigators’ Tyson Sherwood ended as many Captains drives. Tyson also caught a touchdown pass from Greg Mechenbier. Greg threw another score to Mitch Bukovac. The Captains moved the ball but only finished one drive with a score on an Emily Mechenbier to Donovan Fogle touchdown pass. Donovan also blitzed the Navigators to score a safety.
